Distributed computing gateway (DCG) conceptual design

Several modifications to the Sandia National Laboratories' current scientific Central Computing Facility (CCF) are planned. These modifications include development of a Central Computing Network (CCN) and a dispersed Distributed Computing Network (DCN). It is necessary to develop a gateway between thse two networks. This connection will permit distributed processors in the DCN to gain access to the data link, various support nodes, and the worker computers in the CCF. This document describes the conceptual design for the required gateway. It provides a general description of the hardware and software necessary to implement the gateway.
