Inclusive spectra on nuclear targets in the quark-gluon string model and their sensitivity to the production mechanism

The inclusive spectra of secondary particles created in hadron-nucleus collisions are calculated. The quark and diquark functions describing fragmentation into hadrons that we use take into account energy, electric charge, and baryon-number conservation exactly. The results obtained using the quark-gluon string model and the quasinuclear quark model are compared. In some cases the calculated A dependences of the secondary-particle yields differ significantly. It is predicted that Feynman scaling is violated at very high energies.
