Four-nucleon bound state with realistic NN interactions

The /sup 4/He problem is solved for realistic local NN interactions, and the properties of these interactions are studied. It is established that such interactions substantially underbind the /sup 4/He nucleus. The method of hyperspherical harmonics is used. The accuracy of a number of approximations and methods used in this problem is discussed.
