Velocity-dependent realistic NN interactions in the four-nucleon problem

The binding energy of the /sup 4/He nucleus is investigated with use of velocity-dependent realistic NN potentials. Better agreement with experiment than in previous studies is sought by including off-energy-shell variations of the NN potential as constructed by Pokrovskii. The results show that very little improvement can be obtained in the agreement with experiment.
