This collection of papers was developed from a symposium sponsored by the Division of Inorganic Chemistry at the 201st National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, April 14-19, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. Major topics of this book are the preparation and characteristics of multilayered thin films, the layer structure of solids, and means of controlling the chemistry of inorganic and organic compounds to produce desired supramolecular characteristics (synthetic chemistry).
