A data-acquisition-system in VMEbus with 100 MHz Flash-ADCs

A data acquisition system based on the widely adapted VMEbus standard is described. Its modular design with a general purpose VME board for bus interface and specialized subboards enables easy adaptation of specific application modules in nuclear electronics to a powerful computer bus standard. Here a 4 channel Flash ADC (100 MHz) module with 8 Bit (eff. 10 Bit nonlinear) resolution and a memory depth of 1024 words is described. The system is mainly designed for small and medium size setups with rapidly changing requirements.
