Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6486434

This annual report provides preliminary information on the natural gas reserves of the interstate pipeline companies as requested by the FERC for regulatory purposes. A preliminary compilation of information reported by interstate natural gas pipeline companies to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on FERC Form 15, Interstate Pipeline's Annual Report of Gas Supply, indicates that domestic natural gas reserves dedicated to the interstate market at the end of 1981 were 98.3 trillion cubic feet (Tcf), an increase of 1.2% from the 97.1 Tcf at the end of 1980. EIA's preliminary compilation indicates that the volume of natural gas produced from dedicated reserves in 1981 totaled 11.6 Tcf, approximately equal to the volume of natural gas produced during 1980.
