The present conference discusses topics in galaxy catalog compilation and classification, the Magellanic Clouds, photometric properties of the Galaxy and of other galaxies, galaxy kinematics and dynamics, the local supercluster, and the cosmic distance scale. Attention is given to galaxy catalogs and surveys, galaxy morphology and classification, the quantitative classification of galaxies, the Magellanic Clouds as late-type barred spirals, neutral hydrogen in the Magellanic system, De Vaucouleur's galaxy, photometry of early-type galaxies, the photometry of disks in galaxies, models of the r exp 1/4 law, an intensive study of M81, the local supercluster and anisotropy of redshifts, Local calibrators and globular clusters, and distances from H I line widths in disk galaxies.
