Neutron form factors. (Analysis of data on elastic ed scattering)

Analysis of data on elastic electron-deuteron scattering in the q/sup 2/ range 0.3 F/sup -2/< or =q/sup 2/< or =34.1 F/sup -2/ has been carried out. It is shown that the data can be described provided that scaling laws between the isovector and the isoscalar form factors hold. Moreover, the derivative (dG/sup n//sub E/(q/sup 2/)/dq/sup 2/)Vertical Bar/sub q//sup 2/ = 0 has the same sign and a similar magnitude as the value deduced from an experiment on scattering of slow neutrons by electrons.
