Deformed Hartree-Fock states of titanium and chromium nuclei

Using Kuo-Brown (KB) matrix elements, deformed Hartree-Fock calculations for /sup 44//sup ,//sup 46//sup ,//sup 48//sup ,//sup 50/Ti and /sup 48//sup ,//sup 50/Cr nuclei are performed. The prolate, oblate, and triaxial deformed solutions as well as the solutions of some particle-hole excited configurations are obtained. The results show that there is a shape transition from mass number 48 to 50, and that the single-particle energy spectra are different not only for different mass numbers of the nuclei but also for different configurations.
