Vertex constant for the t. -->. d+n vertex

The vertex constant G/sub t/dn/sup 2/, which determines the coefficient in the asymptotic expression for the wave function of the /sup 3/H nucleus in the d+n channel, is calculated through a solution of the Faddeev equations for a square-well NN potential by the Hilbert--Schmidt method. The form factors for the t..-->..d+n vertex in the nonphysical region, which are required for determining G/sub t/dn/sup 2/, are found directly from the Faddeev equations, without the use of an asymptotic approximation of their solutions. The value found, G/sub t/dn/sup 2/ = 1.6--1.7 fm, is quite different from the value 0.6 fm which Baz' et al. (Sov. J. Nucl. Phys. 25, 153 (1977)) found previously by a method involving interpolation wave functions, for the same NN potential. The difference may be due to the use by Baz' et al. of the lowest approximation of the K-harmonic method (K = K/sub min/).
