P-odd asymmetry in elastic scattering of polarized electrons by nucleons

The P-odd asymmetry in elastic scattering of longitudinally polarized electrons by nucleons is discussed in the Weinberg-Salam theory. The sensitivity of the asymmetry to ambiguity in the nucleon electromagnetic form factors is investigated. The kinematic region in which the expected asymmetry depends mainly on the parameter sin/sup 2/ theta/sub W/ is indicated.
