Boise geothermal district heating system: technical design

Two 10 megawatt geothermal district heating systems are being developed by Boise City and the Boise Warm Springs Water District for Boise, Idaho. These systems will provide 170/sup 0/F geothermal water for space heating in the downtown and eastern portions of the city. The major technical aspects of the preliminary design for the Boise geothermal district heating system are summarized. In general, the discussion also applies to the Boise Warm Springs Water District system.
