The equipment and methods used to pump, compress, and transport natural gas from the Frigg Field in the North Sea to the St. Fergus, Scotland terminal are described. The gas turbine--electric generator equipment currently in use on the off-shore platforms and plans for increasing the supply of pumping equipment needed to meet future gas production requirements are discussed.
