Investigation of the effect of adding pressing exudates to the tar on the quality of the fractions

The results of the investigations presented showed that the addition of pressing exudates to the tar for combined rectification leads to an impairment in the quality of the naphthalene and wash oil fractions, as well as the technical products obtained from them. In order to prevent a decrease in the quality of these products it is desirable to process the naphthalene-containing pressing exudates by a method excluding their mixing with the coal tar, for example by separate rectification, crystallization-fusion or crystallization-centrifuging.
