This patent describes a dust collector having a bag support frame and a cell plate to which is connected one end of a fabric sleeve filter, a self tensioning bag device comprising: compressible spring means interconnected between the bag support frame and the other end of the fabric sleeve filter opposite the one end connected to the cell plate, the spring means having first and second open ends of preselected diameters; and bag-to-spring support means connected to the other end of the fabric sleeve filter.
