A solar water heating system is being designed for American Linen Supply in El Centro, California. The process selection, including the acquisition of all relevant data and process analysis, is discussed. Energy reduction analysis is done, including waste heat recovery. The conceptual design is described, including requirements, solar collectors, hot water and steam systems, and the waste heat reclamation system. An economic analysis and comparison is done. Numerous plans, design drawings, and data sheets are included, and the Del Solar Energy Collector is completely described. (LEW)
