Three days of hearings were held on July 25-27, 1979 to discuss and compare energy-related financing proposals and to consider the relative merits of an all-out subsidy for to synthetic fuels industry compared to financing a range of alternatives. The hearings focused on this issue as well as on which types of federal assistance and government stimuation are needed and the desirability of promoting domestic energy development. The hearing report contains the texts of S. 524, .S. 581, S. 730, S. 932, S. 950, S. 1377, S. 1409, and the testimony of 26 witnesses from the public and private sectors. The appendix contains additional comments, fact sheets, specifications, and information submitted for the record. (DCK)
