Safe new way to mine - in-situ coal gasification

In-situ gasification of coal underground is receiving new attention for environmental, economic, and miner safety reasons. This paper presents advantages and disadvantages to this project and gives methods to perform this processing. Currently tested methods for linking surface drilled wells by conventional methods and by in-seam and deviated drilling programs are given.
