Yields of fissile isomers in the reactions /sup 234/U(n, n' ), /sup 236/U(n, n' ), and /sup 238/U(n, n' )

We have measured the yields of fissile isomers of the uranium isotopes /sup 234//sup ,//sup 236//sup ,//sup 238/U in the inelastic scattering of neutrons by these nuclei. For the yield of the isomer of /sup 234/U we obtained only a possible upper limit. The yields of the isomers of /sup 236/U and /sup 238/U were obtained in the interval of neutron energies from threshold (2.7--2.8 MeV)= up to 4.7 MeV. The shape of the yield curve and the absolute value of the cross section are discussed.
