Environmental education: a reality in the United Kingdom

Four educational traditions have contributed significantly to the enrichment and development of environmental education in the U.K. These traditions are conservation, outdoor education, urban studies, and rural studies. Interdisciplinary environmental courses offered at the secondary and university levels are surveyed.
