Light hydrocarbon underground storage rising

According to the Gas Processors Association, total U.S. and Canadian underground light hydrocarbon storage capacity (in thousands of bbl) was 410,929, up 16% from 1977, and 31,231, up approx. 7%, respectively, including 9789 and 1000 for ethane, 165,793 and 10,786 for propane, 52,788 and 3453 for n-butane, 22,283 and 70 for isobutane, 7357 and 0 for natural gasoline, and 52,845 and 1534 for olefins. More than 40% of total U.S. underground storage capacity is for propane which accounts for 35% of storage capacity in Canaa.
