Warren expands Houston NGL (natural gas liquids) import facilities

A discussion of Warren Petroleum Co.'s recently completed expansion of its NGL-receiving facilities covers the Houston ship channel offloading facilities, which can sustain unloading rate averaging 200,000 bbl/day; the new 20 in., 22,000 bbl/hr pipeline connecting the terminal to Warren's Mont Belvieu salt-dome storage terminal, which has a total volume of 44 million bbl and is the largest LPG underground storage facility in the world; and the Mont Belvieu fractionation plant, which can separate 200,000 bbl/day of gas liquids into ethane-propane mixtures, propane, n-butane, isobutane, and natural gasoline.
