Various papers in the areas of models, simulations and experiments in turbulent reacting flows, of heterogeneous combustion, and of combustion modeling and kinetics are presented. Individual papers address: numerical simulation of a confined shear layer and of unsteady mixing layers, two-dimensional imaging of C2 in turbulent nonpremixed jet flames, numerical simulation of turbulence development at propagating flame fronts, the effect of large-scale fluctuations on flame radiation, stability of a droplet vaporizing in a hot atmosphere, droplet ignition in mixed convection, and a numerical technique for solving a vaporizing fuel droplet. Also considered are: thermal ignition and minimum ignition energy in oxygen-ozone mixtures, systematic development of reduced reaction mechanisms for dynamic modeling, measurement of ignition delay time in unsteady hydrogen jets, deviations from the Boltzmann distribution in vibrationally excited gas flows, and numerical study of nozzle and cavity flow fields in gas chemical lasers.
