The Nd/sub 2/Fe/sub 12-x/T/sub x/Co/sub 2/B (T=Al, V, Cr) alloys in the concentration range O greater than or equal to x greater than or equal to 1.0 have been studied. The unit cell volume is found to decrease by introducing Al, V, and Cr. With substitution of Fe by Al, V, or Cr, the saturation moment and Curie temperature decrease, but the anisotropy field, H/sub A/, is found to increase significantly. Thus a small amount of aluminum, vanadium or chromium incorporated into Nd/sub 2/Fe/sub 12/Co/sub 2/B may be beneficial for the use of this material for permanent magnet fabrication.
