We show that the production of transverse polarized e/sup +- / in curved crystals can be used for obtaining polarized e/sup +- / with energy Epsilon/sub +- /approx. >100 GeV in proton accelerators. For approx.50% polarization of e/sup +- / the yield per ..gamma.. ray can be larger than 1%. We show also that the radiation of channeled e/sup +- / after their production by ..gamma.. rays does not allow a significant increase of polarization of the e/sup +- /, leading to a large loss of their energy. In spite of this loss, the length and the bending angle of a crystal are large enough for conversion of strongly diverging beams of ..gamma.. rays obtained in proton accelerators and also for the effective control of the flow of all channeled e/sup +- / produced in the crystal.
