High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor Steam Cycle/Cogeneration Lead Project Decision Package: executive summary
The Lead Project Decision Package is a series of documents that support the bases for a 2240 MW(t) High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor Steam Cycle/Cogeneration (HTGR-SC/C) Lead Project. In particular, the Design and Cost Report and the Design and Technology Development Plan constitute the technical and economic data base for such a Project. As such, the information contained in these documents represents the collective views and efforts of the HTGR Program participants that has been developed primarily through contracts with the Department of Energy. The Lead Project Strategy Plan was prepared by Gas-Cooled Reactor Associates with cooperation from the industrial Program Participants as a proposed strategy for deploying such a Project, including proposed cost and risk sharing arrangements between the private and public sectors. The objective of the Lead Project Decision Package is to establish a framework and data base for the considerations of and the negotiations between the prospective participants in the Land Project.
