It has been shown that two-photon H/sub 2/O vapor dissociation at 248.5 nm leads during secondary reactions to excited molecular oxygen being formed. Here I consider the possible states of O/sub 2/ made by two-photon photodissociation from H/sub 2/O at 248.5 nm and suggest a kinetic model for O/sub 2/ formation.
