This is 1 of 15 documents designed to illustrate how an Environmental, Safety and Health (ES and H) Assurance Program may be implemented. The generic definition of ES and H Assurance Programs is given in a companion document entitled An Environmental, Safety and Health Assurance Program Standard. The Standard specified that each operational level of an institution must have an internal assurance function performed by a group or individual with sufficient independence to objectively evaluate that level's ES and H program. This document shows how the internal assurance function may be performed by an ES and H Committee.
