A condensed version of the original Minimum Energy Workbook is presented. The total scope of residential energy conservation is discussed particularly for houses constructed in Southern California, but may apply with suitable modification in other climates. The original 50% energy reduction goal in the MED houses has been successful and the reduction is attributed to the appropriate use of design and construction concepts presented in this workbook.
