Waveguide modes of a warm isotropic drifting electron plasma

The dispersion relation for the guided waves in a warm isotropic drifting electron plasma is derived using relativistic electrodynamics. TE modes are unaffected by the temperature and the drift velocity but these parameters have a significant effect on the TM modes. The phase characteristics of the fast, slow, and waveguide waves of the TM modes are discussed and presented as graphs.
