Automatic control of granular filter-adsorber regeneration

The existing equipment for controlling the regeneration of bag filters provide for pulsed blowing of the fabric bag without isolating the unit, providing a simpler control function. The control system proposed by the authors provides for isolation of the filtering elements and alternate pulsed blowing out according to a previously assigned program. Experimental filters with such a control circuit have been used successfully for several years in the flux melting part of a welding materials plants. The gas cleaning plant consists of a cyclone and granular filter adsorber filled with manganese ore and provides for removing fluorine compounds and dusts from the flux melting furnace discharges to the safe standard concentration.
