Influence of EDTA on the electrochemical behavior of an iron electrode in alkaline solutions

The method of one-fold and cyclic voltammetry was used to study the effect of EDTA concentration on the electrochemical behavior of a smooth iron electrode in a 5 M solution of calcium hydroxide and also a 5 M solution of KOH which contained additives of the lithium cation and the sulfide anion. The galvanostatic method was used to study the influence of these additives on the discharge capacitance of porous iron electrodes during cyclic testing.
