Global energy futures and the carbon dioxide problem

Journal Article · · Boston Coll. Environ. Aff. Law Rev.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6299262
The continued rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide, most of which originates as a result of fossil fuel combustion, poses potentially serious long-term risks to the global climate and biological systems. The potential risks associated with moderate increases in the burning of fossil fuels are discussed. The CO2 issue must be incorporated into the development of U.S. and global energy policies.
