Yrast states in /sup 62/Zn

High spin states in /sup 62/Zn have been observed using the /sup 40/Ca(/sup 28/Si,..cap alpha..2p..gamma..)/sup 62/Zn reaction at beam energies of 93.5 and 102 MeV. ..gamma..-..gamma.. coincidence measurements, angular distributions, and directional correlation of oriented nuclei ratios were used to determine a likely decay scheme. Levels with probable spin as high as J = 12 have been observed.
