New values are extracted for the deuteron rms matter radius [ital r][sub D]=1.9547[plus minus]0.0019 fm and the matter radial deuteron moments [l angle][ital r][sup 4][r angle]=54.2[plus minus]0.1 fm[sup 4] and [l angle][ital r][sup 6][r angle]=1828[plus minus]1 fm[sup 6] by analyzing the experimental ratio of ([ital e],[ital d]) to ([ital e],[ital p]) scattering.
