High-temperature deconfinement of large-N QCD

We present numerical results of a deconfinement transition in the SU(N..-->..infinity) gauge theory. From the SU(96) twisted reduced model we find an upper bound on the deconfining temperature T/sub d//..lambda../sub L/< or =150 and the phase transition appears to be first order.
