It is shown that the Froehlich bipolaron is feasible in a two-center molecular-orbital approach. The binding energy comes out stronger than the corresponding Heitler-London approach. The critical value [eta][sub [ital c]] of [eta]=[var epsilon][sub [infinity]]/[var epsilon], below which the bipolaron is realizable, is found to be 0.14, which is the best value, otherwise obtained, in the literature.
