Role of exchange effects in bremsstrahlung due to electron scattering by atoms and negative ions

A formula is obtained for calculating the bremsstrahlung cross section for electron scattering by alkali atoms and their negative ions allowing for exchange effects in Ochkur's approximation. The radiation cross section is calculated in the case of electron scattering by Li atoms.
