Investigation of stimulated emission from cadmium phosphide

Spontaneous and stimulated emission spectra were determined for undoped samples of Cd/sub 3/P/sub 2/ in the range 105--155 /sup 0/K. The investigated samples had different carrier densities and were excited by laser radiation. The results indicated that cadmium phosphides emitted stimulated radiation when the pumping rate was of the order of 10 MW/cm/sup 2/. (AIP)
