Synthesis of higher N-alkenylsulfamides using complex palladium catalysts

The authors have studied the telomerization of alkane- and arenesulfamides with linear and cyclic 1,3-dienes in the presence of a palladium catalyst system, Pd(acac)/sub 2/-PPh/sub 3/-AlEt/sub 3/; high-molecular-weight N-substituted unsaturated sulfamides, difficult to prepare by other means, are obtained. Introduction of bulky substituents to the N atom of alkanesulfamides drastically reduces their reactivity toward 1,3-dienes.
