Aerial photographs and remote sensor data were used to identify and inventory hydrologic, soil, and vegetative conditions indicative of hazardous waste sites. Several papers and their results demonstrate the utility of these data and techniques for engineering applications. A combination of aerial photos, remote sensing, maps, and advanced evaluation techniques provided more information than traditional engineering techniques alone. 17 references.
