Governor's Energy Team reduces state costs

Governor's Energy Team is the name of the program for energy conservation undertaken by Washington State. The Washington State Energy Office (WSEO) has aimed energy conservation promotion in the past at local governments, school districts, and homeowners. Now WSEO will use the skills acquired to achieve similar results with state-owned facilities. Engineers will spend time at state facilities identifying and implementing conservation improvements and helping to train staff to conduct these procedures. WSEO will also monitor energy consumption and generate reports for each facility. Loans for financing conservation measures are available from WSEO, or they will assist in obtaining third party financing.
