California energy demand 1980 to 2000: revised forecast for consideration in the proceedings on the Third Biennial report. Volume I. Technical report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6203932
This report, in a final revised edition, presents the staff forecasts of electricity and natural gas demand for consideration in the proceedings leading to the Third Biennial Report. It contains revised forecasts prepared subsequent to issuance of the preliminary staf forecast of June 3, 1980, including major sections devoted to input assumptions, conservation savings, final forecast results, detailed end-use and industry results by service area, and complete methodological description of all model changes since preparation of complete documentation in October 1979. The report is intended to be a detailed description of input assumptions, conservation analysis, and results which can, in conjunction with the October 1979 Technical Documentation, be used by technical researchers to analyze the complex models used by the CEC staff for forecasting electricity and natural gas demand. This edition documents the final staff demand forecast of September 22, 1980, which corrected several computational errors contained in the original document.
