Finite deformation of viscoelastic rotating disks

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6196754

The governing equations for a rotating disk under large elastic or viscoelastic deformations, are formulated in terms of two coupled first-order ordinary differential-integral equations with explicit derivatives. The constitutive equations developed by Christensen are used for the formulation. A recurrent formula for the hereditary integrals is obtained. This recurrent formula makes it possible for the same governing equations and numerical methods to be applied to both elastic and viscoelastic problems.
