Finite deformation of viscoelastic disks

Conference ·
OSTI ID:5276061
The formulation for the finite elastic deformation of a circular disk of various thickness under rotation is extended to finite deformation viscoelastic problems using the viscoelastic constitutive equations. When the relaxation function follows the exponential law, the hereditary integrals can be written in incremental forms, and a recurrent formula is obtained. The principal stretch ratios in the radial and tangential directions are used as dependent variables. The governing equations for these variables are reduce to two coupled first-order ordinary differential-integral equations with explicit derivatives. (LEW)
