Competitive hydrogenation of 1-hexene and benzene on modified platinized alumina catalysts (in Russian)

The authors investigated platinized alumina catalysts modified with elements of Groups I, II, and IV of the periodic system, and also with rhenium, in hydrogenation of a mixture of 1-hexene and benzene. The results were analyzed by methods of mathematical statistics to provide a basis for prediction of uninvestigated catalytic compositions. An explanation of the modification effect from the standpoint of the strength of adsorption of the reacting molecules on the metal surface is offered.
