This report summarizes the activities of the Solar Energy Meteorological Research and Training Site for the period 1 October 1978 to 30 September 1979. Brief discussions of the following research are presented: (1) radiation over snow; (2) solar radiation data analysis; (3) radiative measurements above a lake and its surroundings; (4) turbidity measurements in the Alaskan region; (5) cloud effects on solar energy potential in Alaska; and (6) effects of contrails on radiation.
