The ease and flexibility of calculating emissions in a spreadsheet format was combined with the capabilities of a data management program to develop a database tool for calculating and reporting annual emissions. Since this database was developed for CITGO which is located in Louisiana, the reports produced were formatted to conform with the existing annual emissions inventory reports required by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). These reports included the Emissions Inventory Questionnaire (EIQ) and the electronic file required for the annual Emission Inventory Summary (EIS) report. The database program also includes the option for the user to interactively design the spreadsheet form that is used to input the data.
