Gas burners
A gas burner is described for providing a desired visual yellow flame color for an open log or coal fire or the like and with the burner adaptable for use with different types of gases. The burner comprises: a multi-walled housing forming divided primary mixing chambers; a separate gas inlet communicating with each of the primary mixing chambers; a separate adjustable air inlet communicating with each of the primary mixing chambers; a hollow body connected to and extending longitudinally outwardly from the other end wall of the housing and with the hollow body forming a first secondary mixing chamber; a longitudinally extending perforated gas discharge strip disposed on the hollow body and in flow communication; a first tube communicating with one of the primary mixing chambers and extending longitudinally from the other end wall of housing into first secondary mixing chamber; a second tube communicating with another of primary mixing chambers and extending longitudinally from other end wall of the housing into first secondary mixing chamber for providing an air-gas mixture and with the second tube being generally parallel to the first tube; a further body disposed within first secondary mixing chamber and attached to hollow body longitudinally centrally of gas discharge strip; further body forming a second secondary mixing chamber disposed within first secondary mixing chamber and in communication with the gas discharge strip and further disposed adjacent the terminus of the first tube.
